Midwinter Break
Released: 2026 Running Time: 90 mins
Based on the novel by Bernard MacLaverty, who co-wrote the screenplay. Stella (Lesley Manville) and Gerry (Ciaran Hinds) relocated to Glasgow from Northern Ireland following a traumatic event during the Troubles. Now empty-nesters, they take a trip to Amsterdam to reassess their relationship. Their marriage is seemingly affectionate and comfortable, but Gerry has a not-so-secret drink problem and Stella, with a deep Catholic faith which he does not share, is looking for more purpose to her life.
