This year’s New Forest Film Festival takes place from, the 8th to 16th June with plenty of exciting events taking place across the entire forest.

Moviola is passionate about supporting new and emerging local talent, including young filmmakers. As part of looking at the sustainability of the UK film industry at the grassroots level, the team at Moviola feel it is vitally important to help those taking their formative steps into a very challenging career. This is why we have sponsored two prizes of £300 each for the ‘New Forest Student Awards’.

Programme director, Toby Walkley hopes to bring a selection of the very talented entries to the Moviola network as part of our shorts programme later this year – so keep those eyes peeled!

Highlights of the remainder of the festival include a bevvy of classic films including Back To The Future & Pretty Woman, alongside local premieres such as ‘Dead Fred’ by local director Deanna Dewey and even a fun charity film quiz.
