The Menu

A black comedy/horror in which obsessive foodie Tyler (Nicholas Hoult) and his last-minute date Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy) travel to a remote island in the Pacific North West to eat at an exclusive restaurant. They and the other guests are greeted by the mysterious manager Elsa (Hong Chau), and escorted into the dining room, where they will indulge in a 4.5-hour meal. It might be their last. Chef Slowik (Ralph Fiennes) has a concept that no restaurant has tried before, using each course to pull apart the secrets and insecurities of his guests, who include a bitter critic (Janet McTeer) and a fading actor (John Leguizamo). But Margot is the outlier, the guest who wasn’t supposed to be there, and the person who sees through Slowik’s façade.
