Calendar Girls (12A) 108 mins"They dropped everything for a good cause." It's back! By huge popular request. The by-now famous story of the Yorkshire W.I. who posed for a nude calendar. If you've seen it before, you'll be able to relish again some lovely female ensemble acting - these are ladies you would definitely want to have to dinner - or perhaps more appropriately take for a pint at the pub. If you missed it last season, don't miss this last chance to enjoy it with a big audience. Helen Mirren, Julie Walters, Penelope Wilton, Geraldine James and Celia Imrie are perfect. But there are other little gems of acting here too. Watch for George Costigan as the unfaithful husband and John Alderton as the guy whose untimely death sparked off the whole idea. This isn't a film that changes the world but it's great fun. It's a perfect example of what the British cinema does best - and, once again, it's a film to be seen with an audience.
